Cotswolds (Part 2). [Originally published Aug. 10, 2021]

My wife and I had the good fortune to visit the area 20 years ago (and have lots of photos). As I understand it, the Cotswold Hills are are a limestone plateau, into which streams have cut many valleys. The eastern part has gentler, rolling hills, and the western portion has narrow, steep valleys. The hilltops are used for pasture for the Cotswold breed of sheep (who play an important role in the story). They are raised both for meat and for wool, but the latter is why they matter to our story.
