Fred sounds like a person we all would have enjoyed meeting.
I’ve never met Shawn or Nicole, but had several (all enjoyable) phone conversations with Shawn’s dad, the late Gary Duane Hazlett. Gary was a grandson of George Gersham Hazlett (whom I met in my youth), who was a grandson of Marinus Hazlett, who was a grandson of Samuel & “Sally” Campbell Hazlett.
