We don’t know how Sarah Lugg and Thomas Clinch met. Avening, where he was born & raised is abut 6 miles south of Bisley, where she was born and raised. In any case, they were married in the ancient, Norman church there, began house keeping there and their daughter, Ann Clinch, was born there in 1804. And that’s where their paths crossed with the Blackwells.
